F1 East Brazilian Redtailboa

Welcome to the powerful and untamed world of our Natal & Maceió Brazilian redtail boas — a project years in the making and a true milestone in modern herpetoculture.
These exceptional boas trace their lineage back to wildcaught parents from the coastal regions of Natal City (Rio Grande do Norte) and Maceió (Alagoas) in mideastern Brazil. Regions shaped by Atlantic coastal forests, dunes, mangroves, and tropical savannah landscapes — harsh sun, seasonal rains, salt-tinged air, and endless horizons. It is from this dynamic environment that these animals inherit their unmistakable presence.
For decades, bloodlines from this region were nearly impossible to obtain legally. After three years of preparation, permits, and coordination across continents, we were able to complete one of the first legal imports of locality-based redtails from this area in decades.
This is more than a collection — it is the preservation of regional identity.
The Natal and Maceió boas carry a distinct coastal character.
They are known for their clean, high-contrast dorsal saddles, often sharply defined against a lighter sandy, beige, or warm bronze background. Many individuals display a refined pattern flow, reduced speckling, and elegant lateral markings that give them a streamlined, almost sculpted appearance.
Their overall look is powerful yet refined, wild yet balanced.
As juveniles, especially shortly after import, they may appear darker and more subdued — a natural response to travel and acclimation. But with stability, warmth, and time, their true colors begin to surface. The transformation over the first months and years is nothing short of remarkable.
These boas are not selectively bred designer animals.
They are locality-rooted, genetically grounded representatives of their native region — animals that tell a geographic story through color, structure, and temperament.
Whether you are a dedicated locality enthusiast or someone who appreciates authenticity in its purest form, the Natal & Maceió redtail boas offer something increasingly rare:
traceable origin, historic significance, and natural beauty untouched by trend.
